For many probate applications, an estate agent valuation appraisal is suitable for HMRC and Inheritance Tax purposes, rather than having to pay for a RICS ‘red book’ surveyor report.
The caveat to this is that the estate agent should be suitably competent, and the valuation should be accurate, justified and correctly formatted.
Our probate valuations meet these criteria, and are free of charge.
In rare cases, where an estate is complex or contested, then it can be required to get a RICS valuation. We can assist with this too.
