From our base in Harrogate, North Yorkshire, we sell throughout England, Scotland and Wales, covering one of the largest areas of any independent agent in the UK.
We handle properties in locations ranging from rural hamlets and coastal areas, to central London and The Home Counties (our valuer based in central London covers the South East and South West).
We sell a diverse range of properties, with a particular expertise in handling period properties, lifestyle homes, unique/character residences and those with large gardens or land.
This is one of our busiest areas, and where we originally started 15 years ago. We have helped hundreds of client sell their properties in Yorkshire, Cumbria, County Durham, Northumberland, Lancashire, Lincolnshire and Cheshire.
The region includes the eternally popular Yorkshire Dales, Lake District, North York Moors, Northern Pennines, Teesdale, East Coast and the upper regions of The Peak District.
Many buyers move within this region, and we also successfully sell properties in this area to buyers relocating (or ‘moving home’) from London and the South East.
One of our unique strengths is that we have access to many genuine and serious home movers, who are relocating from the South East. We can proactively highlight our clients’ available properties to them, just at the right time.
Our London based valuer can assist clients with properties in central London, Greater London, The Home Counties, and other surrounding counties of the South East – from Kent to Cambridgeshire.
There is a very strong demand for family homes and premium apartments, with many buyers upsizing and putting down roots in the most popular boroughs.
In recent years, we have also seen a growing demand from buyers moving out from central London to the surrounding counties and commuter belt, particularly as a result of changing job markets and home working flexibility. Properties with decent gardens are particularly in demand.
Within this area, we generally deal with properties ranging from £500k to £2M (which is approximately the mid 50% of the market by volume).
Our main focus in this region is rural and coastal properties in Devon, Cornwall and Somerset.
Most clients in this area have historically come to us via recommendation, as well as some repeat clients who have moved out to these areas from London.
We will happily market most coastal properties, from small holiday flats to guest houses. For inland areas in the SW, we generally deal with lifestyle and period properties, with extensive gardens, land and/or outbuildings.
From Norfolk and Suffolk in the east, to Shropshire and Herefordshire on the Welsh border, this wide central band of the country is a hugely diverse set of localised markets.
We are particularly interested in helping clients sell their rural, village, agricultural and equestrian properties in this region, with a huge demand from local buyers, as well as lifestyle movers from London, SE and other major cities.
Although both countries have their major cities, the majority of the settlements consist of sparse villages and rural hamlets.
We are particularly good at selling rural and lifestyle homes, especially those with land, outbuildings, or potential for holiday income or self sufficiency.
We can help to attract a wide range of buyers, both from the local area and, crucially, from further afield.
Many of the buyers we attract will have a ‘lifestyle’ in mind, but not necessarily a specific location. They are often looking across a very broad search area, sometimes spanning several counties.
We can help, by proactively putting our client’s properties in front of these potential buyers, who may otherwise have not found it on a standard online search.
